**Weekend Haul**

BATA ballerinas and Khadi soaps

Hi guys,I'm back with my weekend haul, nothing much though. I have been dying to try the Khadi products for such a long time. Luckily we spotted a khadi store in Chennai near Spencer plaza. My hubby also like khadi as mos of the products are directly from the people who make it. There is a wide variety of products that are available there. The mat that you see on the background is actually my new yoga mat that i got for Rs140. I also got 2 sitting mats for 40 each...YAY.....

Sample soaps

I was not sure which soap i wanted to try-on. So got this for about 65 bucks. I got Strawberry, neem-tulsi, green-apple, rose-water, lavender and lemon. I have started using the strawberry wala soap,,but doesn't at all smell like strawberry.....I haven't used the other soaps...
Jasmine-cheese soap with VIT E
I thought this was a soap meant for the body but turned out to be a conditioner for the hair. This one smells nice. I'm using this soap after i wash my hair with a shampoo...My hair becomes super dry after i use this and i don't think i'm gonna buy it again. This was for about Rs 65 or 68..not sure

Vintage payal
I have been wanting a payal for a really long time, the one which has ornate designs on it. Something that I could wear for the festive season... i bought this from khadi store....,,,, yeah they do have a separate jewellery section and the have some of the amazing kada collection that i have seen lately..I'm gonna buy them next...Btw this payal is for Rs3200 it is exchangeable for half the price...yippe. The reason it is expensive is coz of the red and green stones.

Hey ...,,,let me know what you think of the haul....

  2. The payal looks gorgeous. I'm very fond of silver jewellery, it looks classy & vintage. And where exactly is the khadi shop? I've been looking for that in Chennai for ages. The moisturisers have received really good reviews.

  10. chennai ponnu - the mat is short.im 5'6" so i think i', gonna use for sitting purpose...don't buy the synthetic one coz it starts to flake very easily and it sticks to your body ..gross...try thick dari/sheet...

  12. Well i guess mat is the best thing coz i really slipped with those thick mattress also ! Thanks for warning about the synthetic ones ... i was about to buy them ! You are 5'6 ? then i d say you are only little away from perfect weight !!!

  13. Lip vinyl? Which one? And when you mean bargain, are you referring to any thing or beauty products? I live in T.Nagar, so for things like artificial jewellery & other house hold items, we go to Pondy Bazaar. You can bargain to your heart's content, but I'm not so good at it :P But for beauty products, we go to Sarvana Stores where everything is sold for slightly less.

  14. wow that was a nice tip Poohkie coz it doesn t matter where we get the branded items from ! I ve heard that mint street (sowkkarpet)is also famous for bargain shopping. I remember buying loads of genuine leather purses for a very reasonable price. You get good offers mostly for wholesale purchase only but the cloth collections are also pretty good and unique there.

  15. Sowkkarpet huh? I should go there. Maybe once the rains stop. This weather is not helping my laziness.

  20. Hi,
Nice haul! I live in Chennai. I am actually tired of searching for organic stuffs in chennai :(. Later i came to know that Khadi products are good. Also heard about Fab India products. Please temme which one is worth using.. coz mine is an EXTREMELY DRY skin and sensitive too! I hate bathing with these ordinary soap bars, as it makes me feel tight and dry. Also i heard about the SLS (sodium laureth sulphate, not very sure about the spelling!) content in the soap which is very harmful for our health. Please help me out in selecting a good one. One more query, do you get sample soaps at khadi?

    Take care,
    Shruthi

  21. hi shruti,,,same pinch lol ..i also have sensitive and dry skin...try fab india..i personally think they are better than the khadi soaps...moreover i don't use soaps in winter...use a body shower gel..olay..etc..almond oil always helps...i also use johnson;s baby soap at times...and yes you can get the sample soaps there...i got mine for Rs65 for 6 soaps...
